Deep Breathing Relaxation Tool


This is a step by step description of Deep Breathing Relaxation in five steps.

Step One - Breathe Deeply and Let Go

•  Become comfortable. Sit or recline comfortably

•  Breathe deeply two or three times and relax

•  Close your eyes, breathe deeply and relax

•  Continue to breathe deeply and relax until you feel relaxed

Step Two - Watch your breath as you continue to breathe deeply and relax

•  Watch your breath as you inhale, exhale and relax

•  Repeat nine more times, then

•  Breathe deeply, gently hold your breath; then relax and exhale

•  Repeat nine more times


Step Three - Listen to your breath as you continue to watch your breath

•  Breathe deeply, relax, watch your breath, listen to your breath as you inhale, gently hold your breath and exhale

•  Repeat nine or more times

Step Four - Feel your breath as you continue to watch and listen to your breath

•  Relax, feel, watch and listen to your breath as you breathe deeply, gently hold your breath and exhale

•  Repeat nine or more times

Step Five - Relax, let your breath breathe itself and receive

Note: If you are using this technique for a specific purpose, receive the special purpose you desire. For example, if you are using this technique for healing, now is the time to receive your healing. If you are using this technique for learning, now is the time to receive the insights you wish to receive. If you do not have a specific purpose, we suggest you allow your mind to go blank.

•  Continue to relax, let your breath breathe itself and receive

•  If a thought crosses your mind, enjoy it, let it go, relax and continue

•  If a vision crosses our mind, enjoy it, let it go, relax and continue

•  If a feeling crosses your mind, enjoy it, let it go, relax and continue

•  If a taste crosses your mind, enjoy it, let it go, relax and continue

•  If a smell crosses your mind, enjoy it, let it go, relax and continue

•  If something touches your mind, enjoy it, let it go, relax and continue

•  If you hear a small quiet voice, listen, relax and just listen

When you're finished -- done for the time being -- remember everything you can, open your eyes and return to the present moment. When you can, write down your notes for future reference.

Write down everything you experienced in this altered state: thoughts, feelings, what you saw, heard, tasted, smelled and felt touch you.

Over time you will notice that the more you write, the more you experience during your next session. The more you embrace your practice, the more your practice embraces you.

This is called enlightenment and it results in open communication with your Higher Self and developing your intuition.
